Who am I?
So maybe you’re sitting there right now thinking “does he spell his name without a H?” and actually I do! It’s a funny story… My mom’s a teacher of both English and Swedish and since I was born in Sweden she wanted me to have a Swedish name. Therefore she removed the H, so for as long as I can remember I have always had to say “Jonatan without the H” everytime someone should write my name down or something like that. So yeah, thanks a lot mom. But well let’s say some of those things I guess you have to say. Im a graphic design student at Södra Vätterbyggdens Folkhögskola and it just happens to be so that I am looking for the perfect place to have my internship at. So you could say that I am here about to fullfill my dreams of working with something creative. I guess a little later than I thought, perhaps since I spent so much time explaining how to spell my name, so yeah now here I am already being a twentyeight-yearold. Then again people often say things like “60 is the new 40” and by that logic I guess 28 have to be like the new 18 or something. So maybe I am actually here about to fullfill my dreams ahead of schedule.
No in reality the reason why I am a little older than most of my classmates is because it took a little while for me to really find out what I wanted to do with my life.. Therefore I got both a degree in journalism and more than five years experience of working as a chef. And I really think that the long and winding road I took to get here have benefitted me. Because I believe that every thing you do makes you a slightly diffrent person than you were before. I don’t think the person I was when I really was 18 would have been ready for this challenge, like I feel that I am now, To end this sort of introduction to who I am I want to quote George Harrison… “People will say that I am the Beatle who changed the most, but after all I think that’s what life is all about”. Now unfortunately I am not one of the Beatles, but I do agree with the part about life being all about change. Therefore I am looking forwad to a new opportunity to change and to find out what person I will become.
